# Connect inConcept to Google Calendar

Make the calendar public with all event details, copy the shareable link, and paste it into inConcept. Every morning its days land on the calendar.

## The fastest way

1. In Google Calendar, make the calendar public with all event details and copy the shareable link. Exactly where is below. https://calendar.google.com/calendar/r/settings
2. In inConcept, go to Settings, Integrations, Calendars and click Follow a calendar. https://inconcept.ai/app/admin/integrations?panel=calendars
3. Paste the address, click Check and then Follow. Done.

## In Google Calendar

1. In the sidebar, hover over the calendar, click the three dots and choose Settings and sharing.
2. Under Access permissions for events, tick Make available to public.
3. Set the menu beside it to See all event details. On free/busy we only see that you are busy, with no titles.
4. Click Get shareable link and paste that link below. The address in iCal format works too; it sits further down under Integrate calendar.

## In inConcept

1. Go to Settings, Integrations, Calendars and click Follow a calendar.
2. Paste the address under The calendar's address. A name is not needed: left empty, it takes the calendar's own name.
3. Click Check. inConcept shows what the calendar is called and how many days are in it.
4. Click Follow. The days are on the calendar straight away.

Forgotten where the address is while in inConcept? In the window you pick your calendar, and inConcept walks you through the steps with the screen beside them.

## What inConcept reads

inConcept reads this calendar every morning. An appointment you mark private in Google or Outlook is not taken over. We store the address encrypted and show it nowhere.

## After that

What falls within six weeks and fits your brand shows under Suggestions. You manage a followed calendar under Integrations, Calendars: there you pick its colour, whether it shows on the calendar, and see when it was last read. Other ways to add a calendar are in the [overview](/en/docs/suggestions/connect-calendar).

## If it does not work

- **inConcept finds events without a title.** Set the menu beside Make available to public to See all event details. On free/busy, inConcept only sees that you are busy.
- **Make available to public is greyed out.** On a work account, the Google Workspace administrator decides whether calendars may be public. Ask there, or export the calendar as an .ics file and import that.
- **The calendar is empty in inConcept.** Every calendar has its own link. Check that you copied the link of the calendar the events are in.
